At Alternative Health Concepts we provide high quality family healthcare services to children and adults using safe, natural, proven effective alternative methods.
Our approach to health and healing is based on the European (German) model of health. In Germany, doctors are trained to look for the true, underlying causes of health problems and to provide safe, effective methods of healing and restoration.
The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health in this way:
"Health is a state of optimal physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity."
We agree. This is our philosophy and approach to helping children and adults to restore better health using natural and alternative methods.
Our doctor, James R. Bowman, began his academic training in science and medicine at the premeire university based medical college in Germany, the Freie Universitat, Berlin.
In addition to the many years of common medical training, he studied further to earn credentials in homeopathy, nutrition, detoxification and enzyme therapy.
Following this German model of health care, our services are an integration of family and internal medicine from a strictly natural perspective.
NOTE: Dr. Bowman holds an MD degree but chooses to practice only natural and alternative medicine.
In Wisconsin, if a doctor has more than one professional degree, he or she must choose only one under which to practice. Because of this, Dr. Bowman chooses not to be licensed as an MD in Wisconsin.
Dr. Bowman also holds Board Certification as a Doctor of Naturopathy (ND), and chooses to practice the German naturopathic model of health. Thus he does not prescribe Rx drugs, perform surgery or practice as a common medical doctor.
